I'm a professional writer who covers wine, food, recipe development, and home and gardening stories. I contribute to magazines and websites like Wine Enthusiast, Better Homes & Gardens, Cooking Light, and MyRecipes.com on topics from pairing wine with avocados to planning a kitchen garden.

I'm a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and I've passed the introductory course of the Court of Master Sommeliers. Next up: Sommelier certification.  

I live in a 110-year-old Craftsman-style house in beautiful eastern Tennessee with my husband, two daughters, and son (vintages 2003, 2006, and 2010).
